In all of our three village churches we believe that we are called to serve our wider communities, and to witness to the transforming love of God in all that we do.
We are delighted to have strong links with our two community schools in Paulton, and our church schools in Farrington Gurney and High Littleton. The two church schools have parish representatives on their governing bodies.
Many church members are involved in other village clubs and societies and express their Christian service in these ways.
The vicar and other church members seek to listen to concerns and issues in our wider communities, and to be available to visit people when this is wanted, especially at times of loss or anxiety or illness.
Recognising that churches are to be outward-looking, and that God loves communities, we seek to be actively involved in special events in our villages, partnering our parish councils and other village organisations in running village summer events, and in celebrating Christmas.
Church members support the Somer Valley Food Bank which is available to help families or individuals in need.
As well as working with the wider village communities, We are also keen to express our unity with other Christian communities – the Methodist chapels in all three villages, and with Baptist church and the Roman Catholic church in Paulton.
