What is Messy Church?

Messy Church is a new type of church built around families and, in particular, young children. It is much more informal, allowing you to access the content in your own ways and for you to meet other local families and socialise.

What Activities are There?

Our activities vary month by month. They all involve creativity and, most importantly, fun! Past events have included tasty food making activities, painting, cutting and sticking and designing keepsakes. Each event will have its own theme related to Faith, Jesus or God (but we try our best not to be preachy!).

Who Runs the Activities?

People from our church community generously give up their time to help make sure every Messy Church event is as safe and enjoyable as possible. We are all approachable and friendly. Where necessary, helpers will have had DBS checks to ensure their suitability. If you’re interested in helping out in any way, talk to one of our team.

Sounds Great! When and Where is it Held?

It is held at Holy Trinity, Paulton on the second Saturday of every month between 3:00 and 5:30pm. We always have a flexible start time, so feel free to arrive within the first half hour – we know how tricky it can be getting everyone ready! Main craft activities usually start around 3:30pm and last until approximately 4:15pm. At this point, we head to the back room for an informal meal round the table. Teatime will be sorted!

Is There a Cost?

No, all food and activities are provided free, but we do rely on your donations to keep funding them for future sessions. If you are interested in giving regularly, please talk to a member of our team.

Do I have to Book?

No, just turn up on the day. We welcome everyone regardless of faith.
