Sunday Reflection: Bible Sunday

Thanks again for all your Harvest donations, they were delivered this week to the loaves and fished project in St Paul’s, Bristol where they were gratefully received. After three glorious, if slightly chaotic, baptisms this Sunday in Paulton we now look forwards to ‘Bible Sunday’ where we celebrate or freedom to read and learn from the word of God.

We will be meeting at Farrington at 9.30 this Sunday and Paulton at 11am. The Paulton APCM will follow on from the 11am service.

I would still like to encouraging you to come and gather with us in person as the preferred option, unless you need to continue shielding. We will be wearing masks and maintaining social distance within the church and there is plenty of space for both adults and children.

Our pattern of services for Sunday is currently:

  • 9.30am Communion – High Littleton church (1st and 3rd Sundays) Farrington church (2nd and 4th Sundays)
  • 11am Communion service at Holy Trinity Paulton and online
  • 5pm Service of the Word at Holy Trinity Paulton.

All the services will last around 30 minutes – there is no singing in the church services or communion at the moment. We hope to see you all in church or online again soon.

The readings for this week are taken from the Sunday Worship Survival Kit.

You are also welcome to join us for our weekly discussion groups where we dig a bit deeper into the readings and the sermon – Just email Adam and ask to join – Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday night.

The church prayer times are now: Farrington Gurney on Tuesdays, Paulton on Wednesdays and High Littleton on Thursdays, open from 9.30am for quiet prayer and 10am for morning prayer.
