I hope that your Lent wilderness journey is taking shape and that you are seeing signs of God leading you through this time. Don’t worry if things aren’t going according to plan, success and failure don’t apply to Lent, just let the time unfold and see where it takes you.
As I said in the Sunday service, we have decided that we will maintain our pattern of online services until the May 17th deadline when most things are due to re-open. That way we are operating in line with the national time table and continuing a safe and cautious approach to resuming our public gatherings.
We will resume morning prayer in our churches from the 16th of March.
Tuesdays in Farrington Gurney, Wednesdays in Paulton and Thursdays in High Littleton.
The churches will be open from 9.30am for quiet reflection and there will be morning prayer from 10am. Masks and social distancing will be in effect for these services.
There will be lots of resources available online and as printed material for Easter, and we will be decorating the church yards with an Easter theme.
The new service book is now available to download here. This will take us all the way through to Easter Sunday.
Please make sure you share the service book with those who can’t access the online.
There are many resources available to help you with your spiritual life through each week, including the responses for Sunday if you are joining in on Zoom.
I would still like to encourage you all to join me with is in praying together for some specific points.
The readings for this week are taken from the Sunday Worship Survival Kit.
You are also welcome to join us for our weekly discussion groups where we dig a bit deeper into the readings and the sermon – Just email Adam and ask to join – Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday night.
We will continue our 11am services online, plus I will be sharing the lockdown worship for schools (which I know some of you enjoy 🙂 each week.
