Hi everyone,

This week is the first Sunday of Lent and so we will be beginning our journey into the wilderness. This year we will be exploring the book of James and what it has to teach us about faith, action and living life as a disciple of Christ.

I would encourage you to read through Chapter one of James before Sunday, and then if you want to join us to unpack it further we will be meeting on Thursdays at 12 noon in Holy Trinity Paulton for our Lent Bible Study for the next 5 weeks.

We will be having our first 'Lent Lunch' together after the 11am service on Sunday.

We are currently renewing the ‘Electoral Roll’, so if you are part of the church and want to have your say in the leadership then please sign up on Sunday or print out the form from the email I sent out. Forms need to be in by the 31st of March

Also, please note:

We are considering the future of the choir

We will be discussing this at our PCC meeting on the 10th of March and making a decision on a way forward. All comments are welcome to myself or any PCC members before this date. Thanks to those who have already shared their views.

See you soon,

Adam

The Church of England have updated their Morning Prayer APP.  You can now listen to morning prayer from the app. I would encourage you all to take this up as a daily practice, it is a great way to grow a pattern of prayer and learn the rhythm of responses each day.

You can download the app here: https://www.chpublishing.co.uk/apps/daily-prayer
