Hi everyone,
This Sunday we will continue our journey together exploring Jesus' ascension and the coming of the Holy Spirit. This week we try to understand the meaning of God as a shepherd, and how this looks in our lives. It would be a good idea to read the Bible passages in advance, so check below for this Sunday's readings.
Christian Aid week is coming up on the 11th of May so please get your donations ready.
We are still building towards Pentecost and I would urge you all to continue praying for the Holy Spirit to be free to move in our churches. You can pray this each day:
Saint Augustine's Prayer:
"Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy. Act in me, O Holy Spirit, that my work, too, may be holy. Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit, that I love but what is holy. Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit, to defend all that is holy. Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy,"
See you soon,
Adam

If you want to continue tracking with some of the sermon ideas as they develop I have included some more links to useful content that can help to keep us on the same 'wavelength'. This week , an audio book on Christian action in a broken world - listen to chapter 4:
Looking for wisdom - The Bible project
Jesus perspective on wealth in 6 minutes
Genesis 7.1-5, 11-18; Genesis 8.6-18; Genesis 9.8-13, Psalm 23, and John 10:22-30
See all below for all the other details of our groups and upcoming events.
Next Sunday we will be meeting at 9.30am in High Littleton and 11am in Paulton.
If you want to access resources in the meantime, we have a wealth of materials available.
You can use the YouTube link to get yourself tuned up and ready to sing with us on Sunday.

If you don't feel able to attend in person, we will continue to provide online worship options as well. The link to Twitch is at the bottom of this email.

The Church of England have updated their Morning Prayer APP. You can now listen to morning prayer from the app. I would encourage you all to take this up as a daily practice, it is a great way to grow a pattern of prayer and learn the rhythm of responses each day.
You can download the app here: https://www.chpublishing.co.uk/apps/daily-prayer
