Hi everyone,
We are now counting down towards New Wine and an awesome week of preaching, teaching and worship. I would still like to encourage you all to at least try one day at the festival so that you can experience what it is to sing and praise among thousands of other Christians.
Last weekend marked the end of Lindsay’s placement with our churches, but she will continue to be around from time to time, so please do hold her in your prayers as she works towards ordination.
We had a great time last Sunday afternoon in High Littleton as the church hosted an event to thank everyone who contributes to the communal life of the village. It was a wonderful event and a good time to connect and celebrate the time and gifts that people contribute to the community.
This Sunday is on the theme of the crowning of David dancing before the Lord, so please come with your dancing shoes!
We are now taking bookings in Paulton for our ‘Hug a Bear’ picnic. See the poster below for more details.
So remember, my family and others from the church will be away camping at New Wine Christian Festival from 25th to the 30th of July. If you would like to join us there on the Sunday to worship together on a big scale you can get a day ticket here:
Alternatively there will be the Deanery service in St John’s Midsomer Norton on 28th July, so there will be no services in our churches.
After that I am on holiday in France for two weeks and so will be out of contact. Whilst I am away we will have Benefice services together in Paulton on the 4th and 11th of August with sermons from the preaching team and maybe a little less dancing :)
If you want to continue tracking with some of the sermon ideas as they develop I have included some more links to useful content that can help to keep us on the same 'wavelength'. This week, the excerpt of Richard Gere as David dancing before the Lord:

Next Sunday we will be meeting at 9.30 in Farrington and at 11am at in Paulton
If you want to access resources in the meantime, we have a wealth of materials available.
You can use the YouTube link to get yourself tuned up and ready to sing with us on Sunday.
If you don't feel able to attend in person, we will continue to provide online worship options as well. The link to Twitch is at the bottom of this email.
Knit and Natter meet in the back room of Paulton church on the first Wednesday of each month from 2 to 4pm. The next meeting is on Wednesday 7 th August 2024.
Everyone is welcome to come along and join the group, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a cake and have a good natter!
TGIF is on every Friday and Monday from 10am to 11.30am for coffee, cake, playtime and good chatting - you can find the latest details on Facebook here. (Not during the school holidays)
Morning prayer is taking place at 9.30am Wednesday in Paulton and Thursday in High Littleton. It begins with 15 minutes of quiet reflection, followed by Common Worship morning prayer.
The Church of England have updated their Morning Prayer APP. You can now listen to morning prayer from the app. I would encourage you all to take this up as a daily practice, it is a great way to grow a pattern of prayer and learn the rhythm of responses each day.
You can download the app here: https://www.chpublishing.co.uk/apps/daily-prayer
view the live service and re-watch previous services here: https://www.twitch.tv/holytrinitychurchpaulton
Every blessing to you all.
