Hi everyone,
Thanks to all those who celebrated Pentecost and Solomon’s baptism with us last Sunday, we had a great spirit filled time. This Sunday is ‘Trinity Sunday’ where we look at our understanding of God and where the name of two of our churches comes from. We also have two christenings in Paulton, so it should be a grand party. Please come along to support the families and make it a day to remember. If you want to get a head start on the Trinity you can start here:
Please note, we are now looking to the next Alpha course in September, so please consider if you or someone you know would benefit from signing up - More details below.
Following on from the launch of the Vision and Mission for Holy Trinity Paulton, If you are interested in joining a group to talk about addressing part of the mission these are the areas of focus:
- To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom. (telling people about God’s love)
- To Welcome, teach, baptise and nurture new believers. (helping people to understand and grow deeper in their faith)
- To respond to human need by loving service. (directly helping those in need, e.g. food banks, community activities, support groups)
- To seek to transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and to pursue peace and reconciliation. (campaigning for peace, justice, equality and helping those who affected by these issues)
- To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth. (looking after the environment, caring for nature, protecting animals etc.)
Please take a bit of time to reflect on where your interests and passion may be and email me if you would like to join in a specific area. You can either share what you are already doing, or look for ideas to take up something new.
See you soon,
Adam
