Hi everyone,

I hope this week finds you well and you have maybe found a moment of peace and prayer somewhere in your week so far. I often find myself so hectic with the business of just staying afloat that peace can seem like a remote concept. But what I am trying to learn is the peace of God passes understanding - a peace that does not rely on circumstance to be attained, but comes through knowing God’s presence all the time. I am not always able to be present with God in this way, but let’s try it together… Just remember He is with you, and build the relationship from there.

This Sunday is going to be a good solid tour of the basics of being a Christian, a reminder of the message (Jeremiah 31.27-34) what’s the mission (Timothy 3.14-4.5) and what's the method (Luke 18.1-8).

Don’t forget we have our benefice skittles evening coming this Saturday (18th of November) at 7pm. This is a great chance for all three churches to get together as one family, socialise, play and enjoy my total inability to bowl!

In November we have several big Sundays to look forward to with Remembrance on the 9th, a speaker from Open Doors on the 23rd, Safeguarding Sunday on the 23rd, and a Mission focused Benefice service on the 30th.

You can find out more about Open Doors here: https://www.opendoorsuk.org

Bless you and see you soon,

Adam

Knit and Natter meet in the back room of Paulton church on the first Wednesday of each month from 2 to 4pm. The next meeting is on Wednesday 5th November 2025.
Everyone is welcome to come along and join the group, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a cake and have a good natter!

TGIF is on every Friday and Monday from 10am to 11.30am for coffee, cake, playtime and good chatting - you can find the latest details on Facebook here. (Not during the school holidays)

Morning prayer is taking place at 9.30am Wednesday in Paulton and Thursday in High Littleton. It begins with 15 minutes of quiet reflection, followed by Common Worship morning prayer.

The Church of England have updated their Morning Prayer APP.  You can now listen to morning prayer from the app. I would encourage you all to take this up as a daily practice, it is a great way to grow a pattern of prayer and learn the rhythm of responses each day.

You can download the app here: https://www.chpublishing.co.uk/apps/daily-prayer
