Hi everyone,

I thought I would just give you a few quotes from the Bible this week, just to get a bit of solid ground under our feet, in case anyone is feeling unsteady for any reason.

Whatever other commands there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Romans 13:9-10

For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”. Galatians 5:14

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”. John 13:34-35

When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God. Leviticus 19:33-34

“Long ago I gave these commands to my people: ‘You must see that justice is done, and must show kindness and mercy to one another. Do not oppress widows, orphans, foreigners who live among you, or anyone else in need.”. Zechariah 7:9

Remember, my brothers and sisters in Christ, whatever else is happening in the world, we know the love that God has shown us and the love that we are called to show to others.

This Sunday we will remembering those who lost their lives in defence of freedom and who stood against fascism and oppression. Please join us at 9.30am in High Littleon, 11am in Farrington Memorial Hall, or 2.30pm at the Paulton war memorial.

Also, this Thursday 7th at 7pm will be our service for the departed in High Littleton, and in Paulton it will be on the Thursday 21st of November at 7pm.

Go in peace and joy.
